Year-End Review – Part Fin
And now the last of the questions as the ice falls outside. I hope your 2008 was great and your 2009 is even better!
17. What was your greatest musical discovery?
That a song should be communited like a monologue with a script you write in between each verse- blew my mind.
18. What was your favorite film of this year?
I didn’t see a lot of movies, but I just saw Holiday, which I loved. And I have to say because I care about my readers, do NOT, under any circumstances, even if held at gunpoint (if you think there is a chance you can make a run for it), go see the movie, Austrialia. Oh, eew.
19. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Blue is the new black.
20. What kept you sane?
My mind – and my husband.
21. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
“If you aren’t getting better; you’re getting worse”

Year-end Review – Part 3
First of all – Happy New Year! This is the third installment of the Year-End Review series where I answer questions posted from a fellow blogger. My next questions are up! Feel free to add your answers in the comments!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Joe Paterno, who is a coach who coaches with integrity and who teaches boys to become men.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Don’t even get me started. To steer away from highly political or philosophical hot buttons at this point – hey, we don’t know each other well enough yet – I have to say as I was watching the Rose Bowl and having one of the commentators, I won’t mention names but you’ll know of whom I speak, wrote off the game in the second quarter and, although he ended up being correct, predictions of this sort are completely unprofessional. He started with, “this is my message to the East Coast Media” which made me bristle. East Coast is getting into my blood.
14. Where did most of your money go?
To my savings account or to bills
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Almost getting an understudy role in State Fair and being highly complimented after an audition.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Coldplay’s Clocks.

Year-end Review – Part 2
As we usher 2008 off the stage and as 2009 stands Stage Left, waiting for the grand entrance, I will be posting some insightful questions (5 per day) that I received (and answered) about the past year, and the year moving ahead. I invite you to also comment on your own if you wish:
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A better mindset – something I’m working on for 2009.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory.
June 25, April 27, August 21, March 18, and November 4th (if you know me well, you’ll know why!)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Completing a difficult audition course at the Walnut, ALMOST being asked to understudy, doing my first year of Voices of the Pops, which I LOVE.
9. What was your biggest failure?
No failures – only challenges and learning experiences, right? (see #6 above)
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
This is amazing, because I didn’t get sick this year! A first!

Year-end Review – Part 1
As we usher 2008 off the stage and as 2009 stands Stage Left, waiting for the grand entrance, I will be posting some insightful questions (5 per day) that I received (and answered) about the past year, and the year moving ahead. I invite you to also comment on your own if you wish:
1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
I bought a house! It was the most nerve-racking but, ultimately, rewarding experience! My poor, poor husband.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I truly believe that one of my New Year’s resolutions from last year was to buy a house. Another one was to get in shape by having a workout plan that combined cardio, strength, and flexibility. Diddo to that! I have a whole list of singing goals that are a work in progress at the moment. I’ll have more to add for 2009. Stay tuned for that in Parts 2-6.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I mutual friend of me and my husband (won’t mention names here). I think that happened at the beginning of 2008.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank goodness.
5. What countries did you visit?
None! Although I got invited (with only a weeks’ notice) to sing in Italy! I didn’t go. It just couldn’be worked out logistically with such short notice.
Stay Tuned for Part 2. What about you?
